Noise from upstairs guests can disrupt sleep!!! Some rooms offer limited space, making it hard to manage luggage comfortably!!! Don’t expect a straightforward check-in process!!!

The culinary experience at Yasaka Yutone Kyokoyado was nothing short of spectacular! Their kaiseki dinner was exquisitely prepared, a real visual and taste delight. Plus, the cozy library lounge was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Kyoto. The perfect blend of calm and charm!
While the room was a tad basic and there wasn’t much space for our clothes, every detail shined with warmth and hospitality. The small bathroom had a handheld shower head, but it added to the overall traditional vibe of the ryokan.

We had an unforgettable stay with friends. The staff was incredibly attentive, making us feel special throughout our visit. We loved the unique culinary experience and enjoyed visiting the Gion Festival at Maruyama Park. Just a heads up, it's great to be prepared with translations if you're not fluent in Japanese.
The exterior signage can be tricky for non-Japanese speakers, so it helps to have GPS ready for arrival.

The two-hour kaiseki dinner was an unforgettable culinary journey, showcasing beautifully crafted dishes that celebrated traditional flavors, enhanced by the serene atmosphere. The in-room hot tub added a level of luxury, and the cozy lounge area felt like a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. However, the signage for arrival could be challenging for non-native speakers, and some amenities like additional drinks were somewhat limited. A better-organized check-in experience would enhance the overall vibe further.

A Truly Unique Experience in Kyoto
Our stay was peak comfort and enjoyment! The location was charming, nestled near Yasaka Shrine, and everything from the delicious meals to the cozy library lounge was superb. The traditional kaiseki dinner was a highlight, showcasing exquisite flavors and beautiful presentation. The only downside was the late check-in process, which could be handled a bit more smoothly.

The traditional lodging experience was delightful, with spacious rooms and a fantastic tub for relaxation. The breakfast was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, enhancing the overall experience. However, arriving was somewhat tricky due to limited exterior signage, and I noticed some noise from other guests in the hallway, which affected tranquility. An earlier check-in would also improve the arrival process.

The soaking bath was a delightful way to unwind after a long day, and we absolutely loved the seasonal kaiseki cuisine served at dinner. Relaxing by the traditional garden was a peaceful escape, and the atmosphere felt very much like stepping back in time. Just a small note, remember to take off your shoes at the entrance, as the space can get a bit cramped, especially in winter! 😊
